Entitled Activities for Thoughtful Reflection: Connecting Service and Learning, this guidebook was developed by Dr. Jane Callahan of Providence College with the goal of providing helpful examples of reflection activities for K-8 teachers.

School-Based Service-Learning
A series of lessons from the Constitutional Rights Foundation (www.crf-usa.org) in which students discuss the meaning of community, the purpose of community service, and how they—and their community—will benefit from it. Students then brainstorm a list of community problems they think are important. Finally, students and teachers work together to plan and complete a community service-learning Action Project.
