What We Do

The national Learn and Serve America grant program provides funding for service-learning in public schools. We design and manage these grants and leverage grant funds from other sources to provide the following services:

Training & technical assistance

We host professional development programs for teachers and administrators, most notably our Summer Institute in Service-Learning. Services also include one-on-one technical assistance for teachers, students, and community partners and workshops to help you get started and improve your practice.

Collaborative partnerships

We help connect community-based organizations with schools to create more opportunities for service-learning.

Additional resources

Through our website and newsletter, we provide timely information about service-learning grants and best practices. We also offer tools for students and teachers and other useful downloads and links.
